Family, friends, and members of the Wichita community are mourning the tragic loss of Luke Hargadine, 35, who was killed in a head-on collision early Sunday morning in Butler County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 2:18 a.m. on U.S. Highway 77, just inside the city limits of El Dorado.
Investigators said Hargadine was traveling southbound when, for reasons that remain under investigation, his vehicle crossed the center line and entered the left-turn lane, where it collided head-on with a northbound vehicle.
