The official cause of death of beloved John Heard, the actor best known for portraying Peter McCallister in the Home Alone film franchise, was confirmed following an investigation into his sudden passing at the age of 71.
According to the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office, Heard died of a heart attack after he was found unresponsive in a hotel room in Palo Alto, California, on July 21, 2017.
